2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

2.3 License Validity: License must be issued at least 1 year prior to rental start and remain valid during the rental period.

4. BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS

4.1 Bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.

4.2 A booking is confirmed only after payment and confirmation message.

4.3 Pricing Transparency
All charges (rental, deposit, taxes, extras) are disclosed upfront. No hidden charges.

4.4 Payment Modes
UPI, Bank Transfer, Cards, Wallets, or other approved methods.

4.5 Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit is required and varies by vehicle.

5. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

5.1 Cancellation and refund rules depend on booking type and timing.

We process security deposit refunds within 24 hours of safe vehicle return via UPI or bank transfer.

6. VEHICLE PICKUP & INSPECTION

6.1 Customers must inspect the vehicle at pickup.

6.2 Pre-existing damages must be reported before trip start.

6.3 By taking delivery, the customer confirms acceptance of the vehicle’s condition.

6.4 Fuel level must be returned as received.

7. USAGE RULES

7.1 Only authorized drivers may drive the vehicle.

7.2 Vehicles must not be used for:

  • Illegal activities

  • Racing, stunts, or off-road misuse

  • Driving under alcohol or drugs

  • Commercial transport without permission

7.3 All traffic violations are the customer’s responsibility.

8. RENTAL PERIOD & EXTENSION

8.1 Rental starts at pickup time and ends at scheduled return.

8.2 Extensions must be requested before expiry and are subject to approval.

8.3 Late returns attract penalty charges.

9. FUEL POLICY

9.1 Fuel is not included unless stated.

9.2 Vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level.

10. VEHICLE RETURN

10.1 Vehicle must be returned on time and in similar condition.

10.2 Normal wear & tear accepted.

10.3 Excess damage, dirt, or misuse will be charged.

11. DAMAGES, ACCIDENTS & INSURANCE

11.1 Vehicles carry mandatory third-party insurance.

11.2 Customer is responsible for damages during rental.

11.3 FIR is mandatory for accident-related insurance claims.

11.4 Driving under influence voids all protections.

12. PENALTIES & CHARGES

Charges may apply for:

  • Late return

  • Damage or misuse

  • Smoking inside vehicle

  • Lost keys or documents

  • Traffic challans

  • Unauthorized extensions

13. DATA PRIVACY

13.1 Customer data is collected only for service and legal compliance.

13.2 GPS tracking may be used for security and operational reasons.

13.3 Data is handled in compliance with Indian data protection laws.

14. BUSINESS IDENTITY DISCLOSURE

DISCLAIMER OF CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES

  • Strict Compliance: The client is solely responsible for strictly abiding by all traffic rules, regulations, and laws set by the Motor Vehicle Department, Government of India.

  • Zero Tolerance for Intoxication: Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicant is strictly prohibited. The client bears total legal and financial responsibility for any accidents, fines, or damages resulting from intoxicated driving.

Total Liability for Damage, Loss, and Maintenance

  • Pre-Rental Acceptance: The client agrees that the vehicle was received in excellent, damage-free condition (unless specifically noted during the pre-rental inspection).

  • Unconditional Liability for Damage: The client is solely and unconditionally responsible for any damage to the vehicle, regardless of fault or the circumstances. This includes damage caused by accidents, third parties, extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, theft, vandalism, or “Acts of God.”

  • Cost of Repairs and Downtime: In the event of damage, the client must pay 100% of the repair charges, towing fees, and any loss of revenue (downtime) incurred by Car Rental Gurugram while the vehicle is being repaired.

  • No Third-Party Liability: In the event of an accident involving a third party, the client is entirely responsible for settling any third-party claims, legal fees, and compensations. Car Rental Gurugram accepts no financial or legal responsibility for third-party damages.

  • Mechanical Breakdowns & Interruptions: Car Rental Gurugram is not liable for any delays, missed appointments, or financial losses suffered by the client due to mechanical breakdowns. If a breakdown occurs due to client negligence (e.g., clutch burning, underbody damage, running out of fluids), the client bears the full cost of the rescue and repair.

  • Fines and Challans: The client is 100% responsible for paying any traffic challans, parking tickets, toll violations, or towing charges incurred during the rental period.

Indemnification

  • By renting the vehicle, the client agrees to fully indemnify and hold harmless Car Rental Gurugram, its owners, and employees from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, or legal actions arising out of the client’s use of the vehicle.
